The new year encourages us to reflect on the past as we envision the future. In the day to day, I tend to be more of a "plan & prep" kinda gal, with my eyes always looking ahead to the next tasks on the calendar. So I was taken a bit off guard by how much I enjoyed the opportunity to prepare the ministry's Annual Report for 2023. It offered me the dedicated space to pause and assess the year in review, which has proven to be incredibly rewarding.
While we realized we were seeing a significant increase in clients at both locations, we were SHOCKED when we saw the actual numbers. Our overall number of client visits increased from 400 visits in 2022 to 595 visits in 2023. This is a 49% increase! The most dramatic increase is represented by our ultrasound clients, where we saw an increase of 125%. WOW! This is an answer to prayer. When our nurse, Deb, is in the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, she often has clients scheduled back-to-back for the entire day. The new ultrasound machine we were able to purchase in 2023 is providing our clients a clear window into their womb to see the precious life growing inside them. The overwhelming majority of our clients are choosing LIFE and we are so grateful to be part of that process. Without your generous support, none of this would be possible. Thank you for your continued prayers, your cheerful giving and your faithful encouragement. Joyfully, Bree & the STPRC Team

Sunday was Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, Monday was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and Thursday is the March for Life. This is an important week where we are called to remember the value ALL life has, even the most vulnerable of life. That’s what this week’s post is about. We are remembering the value in life and why we believe the options other than abortion are worth commending.
We believe in family. We believe in motherhood and fatherhood. We believe in mental, emotional, and physical health. We believe that Jesus offers life to all. We believe that abortion hurts every person involved – the woman, the man, the unborn child, the abortionist, etc. We believe that life starts at the moment of conception. We believe that people are made in the image of God and therefore are worth protecting and nurturing. We believe in forgiveness and new life in Christ. We believe in the loving option of adoption. We believe in helping and loving, not condemning. We believe that people need community and relationships. The staff and volunteers of the STPRC remember the women and men who have suffered because of the choice of abortion. Our message to you is that of hope. Jesus offers love and forgiveness to you, please let Him heal your battle wounds. Consider reaching out to the staff at the STPRC for help with this. (Read about our post-abortion support program here) Why do YOU value life and believe in the options other than abortion? Leave your comments below! We are relational people created by the relational God, meant to live in community and with accountability. At times, it’s good to look to other Christ-followers and be encouraged, to be spurred on to continue in the work God has given us to do. That’s the hope as we look at Pastor Lee Jong-rak, a pastor from South Korea.
Pastor Lee Jong-rak responded to a problem and a need in his city. Daily babies were abandoned by their mothers who were hurting and in need themselves. Pastor Lee created a heated box for mothers to leave their babies where he was on the receiving end to welcome them into his home as his children. Today his house is full of these children from the “drop box”! This is an incredible story of relationship and community. It’s a beautiful story of loving and valuing life. It is a real life example of Christ-like sacrifice and action. Read more and view the trailer of an up and coming documentary sharing Pastor Lee’s story here. Let’s continue to live this same story here in our own city! A story of relationship and community, seeing all life as treasure, and loving and sacrificing as Christ did. Take a look around the rest of the website to see how you can partner with the STPRC, an organization striving to write this kind of story. Till next time. |
